Animal Diamond Painting Kits
Animal designs are the ones people tend to finish. There's always a face to work toward, and the eyes are usually the last thing you fill in, which is a good reason to keep going. Our animal diamond painting kits cover wildlife (wolves, lions, tigers, deer, elephants), birds (owls, hummingbirds, songbirds, ravens) and the animals that live in your house, mostly cats.
The styles vary quite a bit. Some are close to realistic, like the wolf under a full moon. Others are folk art, with bold outlines and flat color, which makes them quicker and a good choice for a first kit.
Which Size Works for Animals
Fur and feathers are made of many small color changes, so animal portraits gain more from a larger canvas than most subjects. If the animal fills the whole frame, the 15.7" x 19.7" size works well. If it's a small figure in a big scene, go up a size so the face doesn't turn into a handful of pixels. There's a full size and drill guide on the main diamond painting kits page.
More to Look At
Several of these animals appear in woodland and mountain settings, so you may also like our landscape diamond painting kits. Birds and butterflies turn up a lot in the floral diamond painting kits, and the stranger creatures (dragons, a phoenix, a few familiars) live in fantasy diamond painting kits.
If the animal you want is your own dog or cat, send us a photo and we'll make a custom diamond painting of it.
