Portrait Diamond Painting Kits
A portrait is harder than a landscape, and that's the appeal. Skin tones are built from many close shades, and the face only comes together near the end. Our portrait diamond painting kits are mostly illustrated characters, not photographs: a flower seller, a grandmother in a lemon grove, a blacksmith, a musician, a woman crowned with autumn leaves, a man whose hair turns into a map.
Some are quiet and realistic. Others cross into fantasy, with queens, storm shepherds and figures made of tile or sky.
Choose a Larger Size for Faces
This is the one theme where we'd steer you away from the smallest canvas, unless the figure is small in the frame. Eyes and mouths need enough diamonds to hold their shape. At 23.6" x 29.5" a face looks like a face from across the room and still holds up close. Square drills also help here, since they leave no gaps in the skin tones. The main diamond painting kits page compares sizes and drill types.
